Job Title: Project Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to multi-discipline design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Newark, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks, ensuring effective completion of projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Meet regularly with clients to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
  • Prepare proposals for new and existing clients, including estimation of project fees.
  • Oversee the development of Land Development Plans, including the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Delegate workload to Junior Engineers and Drafters, mentoring and guiding them to develop Stormwater Management strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion and Sediment Control Design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with Land Development design projects.
  • PE license in NJ (candidates who can obtain their PE within 6 months of their start date will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional relevant certification, such as Certified Municipal Engineer or Certified Floodplain Manager.
  • Management and/or Project Management experience, with a proven ability to manage multi-discipline projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with site design functions, including site layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion control, and municipal and land-use regulatory approvals.
  • Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools, such as CADD, project management software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency with standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
