Project Engineer Diver

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer Diver to join our team at Marine Solutions, Inc. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge, significant experience, and advanced technical capabilities in marine engineering and construction.

Job SummaryThe Project Engineer Diver position performs a variety of engineering duties, including field inspection, material testing, evaluation, analysis, design, and technical document preparation under the direction of a higher-level engineer. The successful candidate will be able to conduct assigned engineering work in compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and internal procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field inspection and evaluation of structures under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Perform testing of materials and incorporate results into reports under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Perform complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering documents, including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Actively participate in internal project meetings and work to actively resolve project issues.
- Actively promote a safe work culture.
- Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in the area of practice.
- Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and office software and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
- Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Good organization skills.
- Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil, structural, or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university.
- 0-4 years of engineering experience.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- ADCI Commercial Diver or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Valid US Driver's License.
- FHWA-NHI #Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges.
- FHWA-NHI #Bridge Inspection Refresher.
- FHWA-NHI #Bridge Inspection Techniques for Nonredundant Steel Tension Members (NSTM) Refresher.
- FHWA-NHI #Ancillary Highway Structures.

- SPRAT Rope Access Technician.
- OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course.
- NASBLA Boater Safety Course.
- First Aid, CPR & O2 Provider.

- Valid US Passport.
- Commercial DOT Medical card.
The duties of this position require the employee to regularly sit; stand; walk; use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
This position may require the employee to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While in the field, the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand up to eight hours or more at a time.

This position requires maintaining current industry knowledge and expertise through active involvement in professional organizations and/or other activities that may require additional and/or flexible working hours.
