Job Summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice, you will be responsible for planning and leading engineering tasks and projects in the water/wastewater field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple design projects and prepare and update project schedules
  • Develop, analyze, and document critical design elements
  • Coordinate the efforts of a design team to determine requirements and incorporate feedback
  • Provide quality engineering evaluation and design services efficiently to support the project team's objective and provide customer satisfaction on all projects
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local jurisdiction permitting regulations
  • Professional Engineering License in the state of Maryland or ability to acquire a license through reciprocity within six months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with local clients
  • Possess a passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam
Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
