About the Role:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level II to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostic Studies: Perform diagnostic studies on patients, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer doses under the general supervision of a physician.
  • Equipment Calibration: Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety techniques in the use and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Team Leadership: May direct and check the work of other Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of three years continuous recent experience in nuclear medicine.
  • Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Nuclear Medical Technologist Certificate (California), and Basic Life Support.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED.
