Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide formal instructions and assistance with maintenance and operational checks on assigned pneumatic systems on aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot, remove, inspect, install, repair, modify, rebuild, and/or test pneumatic systems and components for aircraft pneumatic systems, associated ground support equipment, and/or related test equipment.
  • Perform installation, modification, and/or maintenance of aircraft pneumatic systems.
  • Determine proper maintenance and repair procedures and minimum requirements pertaining to parts, clearance, and tolerances, and performance characteristics of pneumatic systems and related aerospace ground equipment.
  • Perform intermediate maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection.
  • Provide technical assistance to other shops concerning complicated interaction malfunctions between other systems, subsystems, and components.
Requirements
  • The instructor shall possess at a minimum the equivalent of a USAF skill level of seven (7) with military experience clearing aircraft for flight equipment discrepancies and 4 years current experience in their respective disciplines on F-16s.
  • Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory.
  • All instructors shall be U.S. citizens.
  • All personnel must have a secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to employment.
Desired Skills
  • Experience working with foreign nationals and documented instructor experience is highly desired and will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration.
  • F-16 Block 40 or higher experience preferred.
  • Candidates with additional experience in any of the following areas are preferred: shop/flight line setup, debrief, field training detachment (FTD), technical order library maintenance, quality assurance, or modification teams.
