Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II - Project Coordinator to join our team at Recaro Aircraft Seating Americas, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and project participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of electrical design and integration of electronics into aircraft seats, including coordination with designers, design engineers, project engineers, certification engineers, and product support personnel.
  • Task Planning and Tracking: Plan, schedule, and track engineering tasks, providing detailed reports to program management and engineering management.
  • Customer Communication: Summarize technical customer requirements, communicate them to the team, and ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Acceptance Test Procedures: Create acceptance test procedures (ATPs) through the review and interpretation of IFE/Electrical vendor testing procedures and testing hardware.
  • Grounding Bonding Calculations: Create grounding bonding calculations (ELDs) through the calculations of resistance of electrical components.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Complete root cause analysis on MRB (Material Review Board) actions and present resolutions to the engineering, quality, and operations departments.
  • Supplier Interface: Interface with outside suppliers (IFE/Electrical) during the design process.
  • Telecoms and Collaboration: Effectively participate and contribute in telecoms with overseas engineers and program management by applying manufacturing engineering knowledge, discussing manufacturing issues, and suggesting potential seat development topics and innovations.
  • Airframe Regulations: Have advanced knowledge and understanding of aircraft seat manufacturing processes and airframe regulations, including Boeing and Airbus regulations.
  • Electrical Block Diagrams: Create electrical block diagrams or schematics by interpreting IFE/Electrical vendor drawings, documentation, and specifications.
  • Design Meetings: Coordinate design meetings with project engineers to discuss engineering issues, including design changes and requests from customers.
  • Customer Concerns: Respond to concerns of customers by making changes, in regards to IFE/Electrical component integration, in a manner that meets customer expectations and are in conformance with applicable regulations under the supervision of the project engineer.
  • Purchasing and Production Support: Support purchasing and production by providing bills of materials and documentation to support sourcing of components and their integration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-7 years of experience in electrical design, integration, and certification of electrical components installed in aircraft interiors.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of aircraft documentation systems for after-sales (CMM, SB) and aircraft configuration control systems.
  • Personal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with multicultural exposure a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Minimum of 2 years of experience in CATIA V5 and electrical design/wire routing modules within CATIA V5 or similar program, as well as knowledge of PLM-based database systems such as Teamcenter, Agile, or Enovia.
