Position Overview

Sovah Health is seeking a dedicated individual to provide essential support to the Case Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication with insurance providers, ensuring that all correspondence is directed to the designated Utilization Review Case Manager.
  • Assist in acquiring necessary authorizations and managing the appeals process, including oversight of the e-request queue.
  • Prepare, type, and transcribe various documents, including correspondence, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as organizing and maintaining filing systems, handling incoming and outgoing mail, and ensuring a tidy office environment.
  • Welcome visitors and engage with patients and healthcare providers, efficiently managing phone calls and messages.
  • Address inquiries professionally, escalating issues as needed and ensuring follow-up on outstanding questions.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and appointments as required.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, schedulers, and other departments to enhance patient scheduling and progress.
  • Accurately input patient or case information into the computerized scheduling system and prepare statistical reports as necessary.
  • Maintain office equipment and supplies, ensuring the workspace is organized and functional.
  • Process Kronos exception forms daily and assist in the timely completion of payroll tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college preferred.

Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is essential.

Experience: At least one year of experience in an administrative support role is preferred, with previous healthcare experience and knowledge of medical terminology being advantageous.
