Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to assist the Case Management department by performing a variety of essential tasks.


  • Communication Facilitation: Ensure effective communication with payers by routing all faxes, emails, and phone messages to the designated Utilization Review Case Manager (URCM). Input data as required.
  • Authorization Assistance: Aid in acquiring outstanding authorizations and managing the appeals process. Oversee the e-request queue.
  • Documentation Management: Compose, type, and transcribe various documents including correspondence, forms, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Clerical Support: Execute clerical duties such as organizing and maintaining filing systems, managing outgoing and incoming mail, and other related tasks.
  • Visitor Interaction: Welcome visitors and communicate with patients and providers; manage telephone calls and relay messages promptly and accurately.
  • Inquiry Response: Address inquiries professionally; escalate and follow up on questions and issues as necessary.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, and appointments as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, schedulers, and other departments to facilitate patient scheduling and progression.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter patient or case information into the computerized scheduling system or statistical reports/spreadsheets as needed.
  • Office Maintenance: Keep the office environment organized and tidy; monitor and maintain office equipment and order supplies as necessary.
  • Payroll Coordination: Input Kronos exception forms daily and ensure timely payroll completion.

Qualifications:
Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent; two years of college is preferred. Candidates should possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is essential. Previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably in healthcare, is desired, along with knowledge of health insurance and medical terminology.
