Role Responsibilities

The Mathnasium Instructor plays a crucial role in delivering personalized math instruction using the Mathnasium Method. This position requires a commitment to exceptional service, focusing on each student's unique needs. Instructors help build students' confidence through positive interactions and tailored learning experiences.

Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for mathematics and teaching - Proficiency in math through at least Algebra 1 is essential, with preference given to those who can teach higher-level concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to engage and inspire students, creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere.
  • Willingness to learn - Completion of 15-20 hours of training within the first month of employment is required.
  • Multitasking abilities - Capable of managing multiple students and topics simultaneously while providing constructive feedback.
  • Professional communication - Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Availability - Must be able to work a minimum of 6-10 hours per week across at least two shifts.
  • This is an in-person position; remote work is not available.
Work Schedule

Mathnasium centers typically operate during the following hours:

  • Monday - Thursday from 3 PM - 8 PM
  • Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM (some locations)
  • Sunday from 1 PM - 6 PM

Team meetings are held approximately every 4-6 weeks. All candidates must pass a math proficiency test and a background check.
