  • Coordinate the creation and evaluation of elementary mathematics curriculum and assessments.
  • Analyze collected data to strategically address the needs of educators and schools within the district.
  • Provide guidance to schools and leadership on effective mathematics instruction methodologies.
  • Lead district-wide initiatives in K-12 mathematics education.
  • Offer coaching and oversight to mathematics specialists.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team across various departments to enhance educational outcomes in the district.
  • Ensure compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies while adhering to relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in education or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a Maryland State Department of Education Advanced Professional Certificate with Administrator I endorsement.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience in mathematics or STEM fields, ideally in both elementary and secondary environments.
  • Three years of experience in developing and delivering professional development for educators.
  • Experience in managing large-scale educational projects.
  • Familiarity with contemporary research on K-12 mathematics best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Maryland College and Career-Ready Standards for mathematics.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a productive team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Office and educational software.
  • Understanding of laws and policies affecting educators within the district.

Employment Type: Full-time
