Situated in the heart of downtown Tampa, the Straz offers flexible working hours and event-driven schedules, including evenings and weekends. As a part-time employee, you will enjoy benefits such as employee discounts and a 403(b) retirement plan.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting and selling a variety of specialty beverages according to established recipes. This role is ideal for those eager to embark on a career in customer service or hospitality. Your work will take place in both our traditional coffee shop and the concessions area within the theater lobby. We provide comprehensive training for all roles and prioritize internal promotions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests at the Center.
  • Offer recommendations and respond to inquiries about beverage options.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism.
  • Serve guests promptly and efficiently.
  • Prepare and serve coffee beverages in line with the Center's standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
  • Ensure cleanliness in all areas of your workspace.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to be fully vaccinated by the start date, with a booster when eligible, unless a specific exemption or accommodation has been approved in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Availability to work on-site is required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (minimum of 5 hours).
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Barista in a high-volume, full-service restaurant is advantageous but not essential.
