Job Summary

Pathlight Group is seeking a highly skilled Autism Specialist II to join our team. As an Autism Specialist II, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities, including complete intakes/assessments/discharges, making family visits, developing support plans/intervention strategies for emergency and ongoing needs, providing information on resources and services, and maintaining contact and ongoing support as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of a discipline involving the use of broad theoretical knowledge equal to a complete 4-year college education, knowledge of autism and treatments, and over 1 year up to and including 3 years working with adults with autism and intellectual disabilities. Experience in mental health is preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle are also required.

The Autism Specialist II will work closely with the Program Manager and other team members to provide coordination, assistance, and skill-building to the individual. The successful candidate will be responsible for all required documentation, including generic supports, visual aids, and structured skill-building, and will interface between providers and individual, if needed. The Autism Specialist II will also provide individualized training, assist in budget development and tracking, participate in recruitment and training of additional team members, and monitor allocations and usage.

The Autism Specialist II will be responsible for supervising Individual Support Specialists and will work with DDS, supervisor, and individual to provide coordination, assistance, and skill-building to the individual. The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing high-quality support to individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualized support to individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities.
  2. Complete intakes/assessments/discharges, make family visits, and develop support plans/intervention strategies for emergency and ongoing needs.
  3. Provide information on resources and services and maintain contact and ongoing support as needed.
  4. Work closely with the Program Manager and other team members to provide coordination, assistance, and skill-building to the individual.
  5. Provide individualized training and assist in budget development and tracking.
  6. Participate in recruitment and training of additional team members and monitor allocations and usage.
  7. Supervise Individual Support Specialists.

Requirements:

  1. Broad knowledge of a discipline involving the use of broad theoretical knowledge equal to a complete 4-year college education.
  2. Knowledge of autism and treatments.
  3. Over 1 year up to and including 3 years working with adults with autism and intellectual disabilities.
  4. Experience in mental health preferred.
  5. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle.

Salary: $44,782.40 Annually plus on-call compensation when scheduled
