Position: Ambulatory Care Nurse

Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties:
1. Deliver advanced nursing services that require critical thinking and clinical judgment. You will manage patient care in a clinic setting, utilizing both in-person and telehealth methods. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and managing acute healthcare needs.
- Providing patient education and counseling to promote health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Coordinating care and ensuring effective communication among healthcare team members.
2. Perform clinical procedures such as catheterizations, ECGs, and wound care. You will be responsible for:
- Administering medications safely and effectively.
- Monitoring patient responses to treatments and interventions.
- Documenting all care provided in the electronic health record.
3. Offer health education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their health conditions and care plans. You will:
- Evaluate patient comprehension and adjust education methods accordingly.
- Facilitate access to community resources and support services.
4. Engage in continuous professional development through education and training. Responsibilities include:
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Staying current with best practices in ambulatory care nursing.
5. Mentor and guide junior staff and new hires, fostering a collaborative team environment. Your role will involve:
- Providing orientation and training to new team members.
- Participating in peer review and performance evaluations.
6. Implement approved clinical protocols to ensure high-quality patient care. You will:
- Assess patients according to established guidelines.
- Document all relevant patient interactions and care provided.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.
QualificationsEligibility: Open to U.S. Citizens
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of licensed experience as a registered nurse in an ambulatory care setting.
Licensure: Must hold a valid nursing license in a U.S. state or territory.
