Position Title: Customer Care Representative

Objective:

The Customer Care Representative is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to all homeowners associated with Landsea Homes. This role is essential in ensuring that customer care is executed efficiently, courteously, and professionally, while also managing warranty requests and conducting comprehensive walkthroughs to educate homeowners about their new residences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct quality assurance inspections in accordance with Landsea's quality control standards.
  2. Prepare homes and facilitate homeowner orientations.
  3. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure high-quality home delivery.
  4. Address homeowner inquiries and concerns regarding warranty repairs in a timely and respectful manner.
  5. Visit homeowners to perform assessments and provide clarity on service requests.
  6. Coordinate and schedule subcontractors for necessary home repairs.
  7. Manage incoming communications from homeowners, subcontractors, and office personnel.
  8. Generate purchase orders, work orders, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
  9. Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and touch-ups as needed.
  10. Obtain signed acknowledgments from homeowners upon completion of work.
  11. Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment.
  12. Encourage positive feedback from homeowners through surveys.

Essential Attributes:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of the customer care department and Landsea Homes. They will foster excellent relationships with team members, homeowners, prospective clients, vendors, and subcontractors. The candidate should be proactive in organizing and completing tasks in line with established procedures and deadlines, utilizing sound judgment to resolve issues based on industry knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; 5 years of customer service experience, with a preference for 12 months in home construction and customer care.
  • Associate's degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • General understanding of the residential construction industry, tools, and equipment.
  • Basic ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in basic MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and applications.
  • Mathematical aptitude.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

This role involves both office and field responsibilities, necessitating the ability to operate a vehicle, navigate stairs and ladders, read plans, and lift items exceeding 50 pounds. Office tasks will require prolonged periods of sitting at a computer, completing paperwork, and managing phone communications. Finger dexterity is essential for operating a keyboard and calculator. The position also requires the ability to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors.

This is a safety-sensitive role that involves tasks impacting the safety and health of the employee and others. Training in OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, and Fire Safety will be provided by the company.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel to other projects and the corporate office may be necessary.
