JOB OVERVIEW
JT4, LLC is a leader in providing engineering and technical support services to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, known as J-Tech II. Our mission is to develop and sustain realistic, integrated test and training environments that prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for current and future global challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Operations and Maintenance Technician, you will work under general technical guidance, specializing in ground-based electronic systems. Your essential functions will include:
  • Installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, construction, and testing of various electronic equipment and related devices.
  • Operation and maintenance of electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers, and transmission lines.
  • Application of technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment.
  • Diagnosis of equipment malfunctions and execution of repairs to restore equipment to its required operating condition.

Additionally, you will:
  • Manipulate computer keyboards and interpret computer displays.
  • Troubleshoot to the component level and perform necessary repairs.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Education and/or training from an accredited college or technical school, including courses in mathematics, basic electronics, and microwave theory, or a military equivalent, along with three years of hands-on experience.
  • Potential ISCET certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in general electronics and a solid understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems, along with the test equipment used for maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devices may be required.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot to the component level and competency in soldering.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position involves both indoor and outdoor duties, which may include:
  • Working on uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet.
  • Climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds.
  • Using a government vehicle as needed.
  • Handling grease or oil on working surfaces.

Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with heavier items requiring assistance. Travel to remote locations may be necessary. Please note that this position supports a Federal Government Contract, which requires U.S. citizenship and may necessitate eligibility for a government security clearance.
