JOB OVERVIEW
JT4, LLC is dedicated to providing engineering and technical support to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, commonly referred to as J-Tech II. Our mission involves developing and sustaining realistic, integrated test and training environments to prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for current and future global challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and maintain a variety of electronic equipment and related devices, including installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, construction, and testing.
  • Manage electronic transmitting and receiving systems, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and control devices, microwave amplifiers, transmission lines, high voltage power supplies, keying circuits, indicators, displays, and antenna positioning systems.
  • Utilize technical knowledge of electronic principles to address basic issues using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and testing equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to restore functionality to required operational standards.
  • Conduct troubleshooting at the component level and execute necessary repairs.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess education and/or training from an accredited college or technical institution, including coursework in mathematics, basic electronics, and microwave theory, or a military equivalent, along with three years of hands-on experience. ISCET certification may be required. A demonstrated proficiency in general electronics and a solid understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems, as well as the testing equipment used for maintenance and repair, is essential. Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devices may be necessary. Successful candidates will exhibit the ability to troubleshoot at the component level and demonstrate competency in soldering.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Responsibilities will be carried out both indoors and outdoors, with outdoor tasks potentially involving uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet. Duties may require climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, both inside and outside. Government vehicles may be utilized as needed. The work environment may include grease or oil on surfaces, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary (heavier items require assistance). Travel to remote locations may be necessary.
