JOB OVERVIEW
JT4, LLC is a leading provider of engineering and technical support services for various western test ranges, serving the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, commonly referred to as J-Tech II.

POSITION SUMMARY
As an Operations and Maintenance Technician, you will work under general technical supervision, focusing on ground-based electronic systems. Your role will involve:

  • Installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, construction, and testing of diverse electronic equipment and related devices.
  • Operation and upkeep of electronic transmitting and receiving devices, digital and analog computing systems, industrial measuring and control apparatus, microwave amplifiers, high voltage power supplies, and antenna positioning systems.
  • Utilizing technical expertise in electronic principles to address basic issues through diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and testing equipment.
  • Diagnosing equipment failures and executing repairs to restore functionality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform troubleshooting at the component level and execute necessary repairs.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should possess education and/or training from an accredited college or technical institution, including coursework in mathematics, basic electronics, and microwave theory, or equivalent military training, along with three years of hands-on experience.
Certification from ISCET may be required.
Proficiency in general electronics and a solid understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems, as well as the testing equipment used for maintenance and repair, is essential.
Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devices may be necessary.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot at the component level and possess soldering skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors, which may include uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Employees may be required to travel to remote locations and perform duties in various environmental conditions. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with heavier items requiring assistance.
