JOB OVERVIEW
JT4, LLC is dedicated to providing engineering and technical support across various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, commonly referred to as J-Tech II. Our mission involves developing and sustaining realistic, integrated test and training environments to prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for current missions and future global challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform operations and maintenance tasks on ground-based electronic systems while working under general technical guidance.
  • Engage in the installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, construction, and testing of various electronic equipment and related devices.
  • Operate and maintain a range of electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, including digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling devices, microwave amplifiers, and transmission lines.
  • Utilize technical knowledge of electronic principles to address basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement repairs to restore equipment to its required operational condition.
  • Conduct troubleshooting at the component level and perform necessary repairs.
  • Execute all other related duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or training from an accredited college or technical school in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory, or a military equivalent, along with three years of hands-on experience, are essential. ISCET certification may be required. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in general electronics and possess a solid understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems, as well as the test equipment used for maintenance and repair. Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devices may be necessary. Successful candidates will showcase the ability to troubleshoot at the component level and exhibit competency in soldering.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Responsibilities are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings. Outdoor tasks may occur on various surfaces, which can be dry or wet, and may include climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds. The use of a government vehicle may be required on an as-needed basis. Employees must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, with heavier items requiring assistance. Travel to remote locations may be necessary.
