Job Overview

Position: Desktop Support Technician

As a key member of the IT department at DealerOn, Inc., the Desktop Support Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional internal user assistance and managing account operations. This position requires a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, as you will collaborate with a team of skilled IT professionals dedicated to maintaining the company's technological resources and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive support and troubleshooting for a variety of devices, including laptops, mobile gadgets, printers, and other peripherals, both onsite and remotely.
  • Address and resolve support inquiries promptly, prioritizing outstanding customer service.
  • Install and set up software applications for distribution across workstations.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, including email setups, group memberships, drive mappings, and peripheral devices.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on software updates, network management, and security initiatives to identify challenges, explore solutions, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to the documentation and periodic review of departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Conduct imaging, repairs, and maintenance for desktops and mobile workstations.
  • Oversee asset management and distribution, which includes packaging, relocating, shipping, and receiving IT hardware.
  • Coordinate warranty repairs with equipment vendors and shipping services.
  • Monitor and manage equipment inventory and stock levels.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in supporting Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10/11).
  • Strong background in desktop, laptop, and mobile hardware support.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in communication (both written and verbal) and adherence to deadlines.
  • Proficient in using the Office software suite.
  • Experience in a dynamic work environment.
  • Able to prioritize and manage tasks that frequently change and handle unexpected demands.
  • Reliable, follows instructions, and takes initiative in problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA A+ Certification or other relevant certifications.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $37,500 - $66,300, reflecting your potential earnings with DealerOn throughout your tenure.
