Position Overview:

The Compounding Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role in overseeing all compounding operations within the laboratory. This position involves conducting thorough checks throughout the compounding process and supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality compounded medications. You will also assist in maintaining compliance with laboratory standards and contribute to the development of processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials. Reporting to the Head Compounding Pharmacist and the Pharmacist-In-Charge, you will embody the mission and values of Hims & Hers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all compounding staff, including pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
  • Accurately document compounding procedures and perform quality assurance checks.
  • Verify compounding records, formula accuracy, and finished products.
  • Assist in training and evaluating compounding staff.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and calibration of compounding equipment.
  • Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines in medication preparation.
  • Ensure a safety-first approach in all laboratory activities.
  • Engage in patient consultations and document any errors.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacist-in-charge on compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and audits.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned, including inventory management and training.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active Pharmacist License in Arizona.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacist experience, with at least 3 years in compounding.
  • Experience in non-sterile compounding.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage delicate equipment.
  • Capability to lift at least 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based computer systems.
