Our Energy Group at CEI executes projects from the field to the grid. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Project Coordination Specialist who is prepared to make a positive impact on a complex construction project. At Cupertino Electric, Project Coordination Specialists (PCS) play a crucial role in facilitating communication between the field team, project team, and our clients. PCS are expected to foster exceptional working relationships with vendors and subcontractors while assisting in the review and monitoring of project activities, including requests for proposals, change orders, submittals, tracking logs, and related project documentation. You will facilitate learning for yourself and others, prepare and lead team meetings, and guide the work of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in collaboration with the Project Manager and field team.

  • Facilitate team meetings and provide direction to Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in collaboration with the Project Manager and field team.
  • Collaborate with the scheduling department to gather all necessary data to populate the CEI schedule.
  • Identify cost implications associated with RFIs, submittals, and design modifications, providing timely notifications.
  • Accurately price change orders in a timely manner for project manager review and approval.
  • Manage closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with third parties and track open items.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate material releases in accordance with project documentation. Track material releases, changes, and coordinate delivery with the construction schedule.

ABOUT YOU
You bring innovative and entrepreneurial thinking to projects, with prior experience supervising and/or guiding others. Your technical knowledge and communication skills are essential for the success of a Project Coordination Specialist. You have experience providing in-house support to Project Managers, including coordinating and tracking quantities for billing and managing project activities and documentation. You are eager to learn and actively seek ways to enhance existing processes.

You will engage extensively with the CEI Production Team, clients, and vendor and subcontractor partners, providing opportunities to build relationships and expand your professional network.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of the Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, may qualify.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: None required.

Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience in electrical construction or MEP experience in general contracting, along with three (3) additional years in general construction and/or management roles, in conjunction with the qualifications listed above. Civil and/or structural experience is a plus.

Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
