THE ENERGY DIVISION
Our Energy Group at CEI specializes in delivering projects from the field to the grid. Whether it involves solar, battery storage, substations, EV charging, microgrids, or converter stations, our skilled project managers, engineers, and field personnel ensure timely and successful project execution. We collaborate with clients on projects of all sizes, from small sites to large-scale initiatives, while maintaining a commitment to environmental responsibility.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Project Coordination Specialist who is eager to contribute to a complex construction initiative. In this role, you will play a vital part in facilitating communication between the field team, project team, and clients. You will maintain strong working relationships with vendors and subcontractors and assist in monitoring and documenting project activities, including requests for proposals, change orders, submittals, and related documentation.

  • Facilitate team meetings and provide direction to Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in collaboration with the Project Manager and field team.
  • Work closely with the scheduling department to gather necessary data for the CEI schedule.
  • Identify cost implications related to RFIs, submittals, and design modifications, ensuring timely communication.
  • Prepare change order pricing consistently and promptly for project manager review.
  • Oversee the management of closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with third parties and track outstanding items.
  • Foster strong partnerships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate material releases in alignment with project documents.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will possess innovative thinking and prior experience in supervising or guiding others. You should have strong technical knowledge and communication skills, essential for success in this role. Experience in supporting Project Managers through coordination, tracking, and managing project documentation is crucial. A willingness to learn and seek improvements in existing processes is highly valued.

As a Project Coordination Specialist at Cupertino Electric, you will gain the skills and competencies necessary to advance toward a Project Manager role. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of the Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications may qualify.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: None required.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical construction or MEP experience in general contracting, along with an additional three (3) years in general construction and/or management roles. Civil and/or structural experience is a plus.

Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
