Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Deputy Auditor Controller to join our team at the County of Lake, CA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in assisting the Auditor-Controller/County Clerk with planning, organizing, directing, and managing one or more functions and operations of the Auditor-Controller/County Clerk Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Auditor-Controller/County Clerk in planning, organizing, directing, and managing one or more functions and operations of the Auditor-Controller/County Clerk Office.
  • Perform a variety of difficult, complex, and specialized assignments in the accounting and auditing of County financial records and conducting fiscal and budget administrations.
  • Provide general assistance and answer questions regarding Auditor-Controller/County Clerk functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise and manage staff, including providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration, which included at least 21 semester units or 28 quarter units of Accounting coursework.
  • Three years of responsible professional work experience in accounting, auditing, and financial analysis work.
  • Two years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
