JOB SUMMARY

We are in search of an experienced Senior Manager of Cultivation to oversee our medical cannabis facility. This pivotal role involves managing daily operations within the cultivation production areas, leading a sizable team of 40-50 cultivation agents, and ensuring adherence to all cultivation processes, training protocols, schedules, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of environmental controls and crop management, and will be tasked with upholding exceptional standards of plant health and facility compliance.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Oversee the management of cultivation personnel, scheduling, cultivation processes, inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for cultivation staff regarding products, services, policies, procedures, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Address and resolve inquiries, concerns, and conflicts among staff.
  • Collaborate with upper management to ensure accurate communication of information.
  • Supervise all cultivation tasks and processes, ensuring proper documentation of activities in line with state regulations and Cresco Labs standards.
  • Manage supply inventory, orders, and deliveries to maintain efficient levels of cultivation inputs and supplies.
  • Ensure plant health through practices such as pruning, topping, trimming, and analyzing plant conditions in accordance with Cresco Labs policies.
  • Direct environmental management programs, crop steering, and integrated pest management strategies.
  • Maintain detailed records of all cultivation activities, including employee records, inventory logs, and crop application records in compliance with state regulations and Cresco Labs standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in plant biology, physiology, biological sciences, agricultural sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3-5 years of managerial experience in a relevant position.
  • Advanced understanding of plant cultivation and operational management within cultivation facilities, along with knowledge of medical cannabis regulations.
  • Proficiency in word processing, point-of-sale systems, and database management.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
