JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is on the lookout for Material Handlers to enhance our Supply Chain team. The Material Handler's role is to provide essential materials to various departments, ensuring operational efficiency. We seek individuals with a keen eye for detail to maintain precise inventory records of both cannabis and non-cannabis materials. Collaboration with other departments is crucial for the effective shipping and receiving of materials and equipment related to facility operations.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Delivering necessary materials to departments based on provided work orders and bills of materials.
- Accurately documenting weights and counts of all cannabis products during receipt or shipment to other facilities or dispensaries.
- Implementing a first in first out (FIFO) inventory flow to preserve the quality of perishable items.
- Reporting any discrepancies in cannabis shipments to department leadership and assisting in their resolution.
- Helping track and report inventory levels to prevent shortages.
- Assisting in the receipt of goods, stocking shelves, and conducting daily supply runs for all departments.
- Operating lift trucks to transport equipment and supplies throughout the facility and receive goods from freight carriers.
- Receiving and transferring shipments to freight and small package carriers.
- Communicating shipment issues, including damages, to department leadership.
- Assisting with the removal of grow media post-harvest and operating shredding equipment for daily plant waste disposal.
- Performing additional duties to support overall operations as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- High organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Commitment to collaborative work across all company departments.
- Able to lift, lower, push, and pull up to 50lbs repeatedly.
- Capability to operate and fulfill power industrial lift truck certification/training requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
- Comfortable working around equipment with moving parts and high noise levels.
