Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Goodwill Industries of NCPA. As a key member of our retail sales team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, managing sales staff, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
    • Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
    • Manage the store's visual merchandising and display of products.
  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Train and develop sales staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop sales staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
    • Manage the performance of sales staff, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve their performance.
    • Ensure that sales staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage the store's inventory, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory levels.
    • Ensure that inventory is accurately counted and recorded.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce inventory costs and improve inventory management processes.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to management, including sales data, customer feedback, and staff performance metrics.
    • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide recommendations to management on how to improve sales and customer service.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school graduate or equivalent (minimum requirement).
  • Experience
    • At least one-year experience with retail sales or related experience.
    • One-year supervisory experience.
  • Skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
