Position Summary:

The Group Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in driving sales, coordinating events, and enhancing guest experiences. This position is essential for fostering positive interactions with guests, managing event logistics, and supporting various hotel operations, including room allocations, merchandise, and entertainment arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all guest interactions are positive and welcoming.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Represent the company by developing in-depth knowledge of its services.
  • Build relationships with influencers, journalists, and media representatives.
  • Manage sales processes and close deals effectively.
  • Assist with tours and sales for weddings, private events, and corporate gatherings.
  • Support guests in event decoration as required.
  • Collaborate with Event Coordinators to execute scheduled events.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary audio/visual equipment for events.
  • Oversee room blocks across multiple properties.
  • Prioritize the safety of staff and guests.
  • Enhance guest satisfaction during their stay.
  • Assist with entertainment arrangements at various properties.
  • Engage with local businesses to create attractive hotel stay packages.
  • Manage inventory orders through Shopify.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team for gift card distribution.
  • Order branded stationery items as needed.
  • Ensure merchandise is well-stocked and displayed at various locations.
  • Participate in weekly Group Impact Meetings and BEO Meetings to address stakeholder concerns.
  • Utilize Catering and CRM software for booking event spaces and creating BEOs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of sales experience in a related industry is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in social event coordination is preferred.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
  • Availability to work weekends and certain holidays is required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
