Job Title: Human Resource Administrative Specialist, Senior

Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Administrative Specialist, Senior to support our PEO IWS client at the Washington, DC NAVY YARD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide a full range of professional administrative and management services and products to various PEO IWS offices. This position serves as the primary interface for HR inquiries from managers, guiding them through the requests for personnel actions (RPAs) and other administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR guidance, consultation, and assistance to management on human resources policies, procedures, regulations, and concepts and making recommendations on human resources issues.
  • Provide transactional, administrative, and repeatable services to the organization from processing requests for personnel actions (RPAs) to developing briefings and reports.
  • Receive inquiries from employees and managers regarding the processing of HR transactions, employee data, policies, and procedures.
  • Initiate and prepare Request for Personnel Actions (RPAs) for recruitments, personnel actions, promotions and incentive awards.
  • Assist with hiring actions, and training and development (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA)) tracking.
  • Ensure staffing/recruitment reports are accurately updated daily.
  • Process Transfer/Intro/Exit (TIE) request for seating/moving individuals or groups within the organization's footprint.
  • Assist with the development of online automated processes to increase efficiency and improve capabilities and effectiveness of services.
  • Collaborate with the ERC / PEO IWS SharePoint team to leverage capabilities to improve our overall responsiveness and productivity to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive-level briefs.
  • Develop and maintain administrative and manpower metrics reports.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining an overall professional environment that accurately reflects and supports the division's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements:
  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) to submit personnel actions.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business administration, including 2 years of HR/federal staffing experience.
  • Experience providing HR guidance, consultation, and assistance to management and/or staff of human resources laws, policies, procedures, regulations, and concepts and making recommendations on human resources issues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure due to tight deadlines and increased workloads.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels, as a team member.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Senior, 10+ years of professional experience.
  • DoD environment experience (desired).
  • Active secret clearance.
