About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Leader to join our Embedded Engineering Services Americas organization. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the deployment and ongoing management of datacenter class server, storage, and network resources in our virtualized high-availability Private and Public data center environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead RHEL and OEL system engineering and administration, including implementation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of systems created with RedHat Linux and Oracle systems.
  • Represent Linux practice subject matter expert for Linux OS within Systems Engineering team.
  • Responsible for Windows AD and Azure AD administration, including features such as Federation Services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, RDG, RDP, and Application Gateways.
  • Lead server virtualization and related technology engineering with a focus on high availability, performance, and scalability of architectures.
  • Execute on architected design, deployment, and operationalization of private and public cloud infrastructure supporting customer-facing products.
  • Deploy, secure, and maintain containerized Private & Public Cloud platforms.
  • Enforce system policies and RBAC restrictions, assuming best practices of least privilege.
  • Support the definition and implementation of relevant systems monitoring and alerting.
  • Lead/Follow the public cloud infrastructure transformation within our engineering teams.
  • Define and evangelize optimizations and best practices to improve reliability, stability, and performance.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for internal use.
  • Provide visibility, traceability, and metrics supporting technical decision-making processes.
  • Assist/mentor team members in areas of expertise, share in creation of training content, and delivery to the team.
  • Support PCI and ISO audits for security compliance.
About You

We are looking for a self-starting, highly motivated technical leader with strong interpersonal skills to work in a dynamic, evolving, and transformative datacenter environment. You will have access to leading tools, technologies, and the latest training on our platforms.

Key qualifications include:

  • 7+ years managing, administering, or supporting highly available hosted environments.
  • Subject matter expert level of understanding for core Linux operating systems.
  • Subject matter expert level of understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of IT concepts such as AD, LDAP, DNS, TCP/IP stack, NAS/SAN, storage fabric.
  • Working knowledge of containerization platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift desired.
  • Experience with hardware vendor platforms such as Cisco UCS, Palo Alto, F5, Commvault, Pure Storage.
  • Experience with Cloud provider platforms such as Azure, Google, and AWS desired.
  • Experience with deployment tooling for enforcing desired state configuration such as Chef, Ansible, and PowerShell desired.
  • Experience with leveraging deployment pipelines for infrastructure code deployment configuration management a plus.
  • Desire to learn, lead, and support transforming IT technical practices.
  • College diploma, university degree, or related technical higher-level learning achievement.
  • VCP, VMWare, Linux, Azure, certifications a plus.
  • ITIL and ITSM certifications a plus.
  • Documented track record of successful completion of technical or customer-related projects.
  • Experience in Airline domain is a plus.
  • Desire and aptitude to transform our private and public infrastructures to cloud native solutions.
  • Ability to work hybrid from either Orlando, Florida; Miami, Florida; or Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
