Job Title: Market Research/Customer Insights Analyst

About the Role:

Pacific Life is seeking a talented Market Research/Customer Insights Analyst to join our team in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha NE; Lynchburg, VA or remote for the right candidate (depending on location). This role is hybrid, allowing you to work both in and out of the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the life product intelligence function through comprehensive research and analysis of the company's markets, customers, competition, and product mix.
  • Develop and maintain multiple benchmarking dashboards to dynamically compare competitive and sales metrics.
  • Conduct reverse engineering support (illustration deconstruction) of competitor products.
  • Perform stress tests on new product designs.
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive competitive assessments.
  • Support annuity deep-dive assessments as needed.
  • Analyze competitors, identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.
  • Provide strategic insight to inform product development, pricing, and market strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
  • College-level math skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Complex problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Experience with Tableau/Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik and Tableau.
  • Experience with Turbo, Python, SQL, and Alteryx.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
