About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with expertise in concrete construction to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing complex concrete projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Oversee all aspects of concrete construction project management, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Manage the process of submitting plans, receiving approvals, and ensuring that all projects meet building and safety codes.
  • Change Management: Handle RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, submittals, and purchase orders, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved.
  • Cost Management: Monitor job costs regularly, ensuring projects stay within budget and identifying potential cost overruns early.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining open communication and managing expectations.
  • Project Risk Management: Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present reports on the progress and status of each project.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a project management role within the construction industry, with a focus on concrete.
  • Skills: Proficiency in managing the technical aspects of RFIs, change orders, submittals, and purchase orders. Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Proficient in project management software. Certification in project management (PMP) is a plus.
