Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the Finance team, collaborating closely with Finance and Accounting professionals across the organization, business leaders, and our investor, Blackstone.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of business unit and consolidated financial statements and KPIs (such as backlog and labor hours) to identify key drivers for variances from budget and forecast, and to track sequential trends for senior management.
  • Budgeting: Work alongside business unit leaders and the corporate leadership team to facilitate the annual budgeting process. Assist in the creation and maintenance of a consolidated budget financial model and prepare materials for distribution to the board and lenders.
  • Forecasting: Maintain the corporate financial model, which includes near-term forecasts, by updating financials and assumptions quarterly. This model will encompass three financial statements and will be used to provide accurate projections for revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, liquidity, and covenant ratios.
  • Communication: Prepare materials for quarterly meetings with the Board of Directors and lenders, supporting treasury and capital raising efforts to promote ongoing M&A growth.
  • M&A Integration: Collaborate with the accounting and M&A teams to integrate newly acquired companies into Legence's financial reporting framework.
  • Data Management: Lead initiatives to enhance the quality of project-level data received from business units monthly, providing feedback to controllers and driving process improvements.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrate the ability to identify patterns beyond superficial data, engage through inquiry, and drive towards clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.

Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and develop action plans for timely execution. Detail-oriented and results-driven, capable of managing multiple work streams while balancing standard operating procedures with continuous improvement.

Technical Skills: A solid understanding of financial statements, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in financial modeling are essential.

Desired Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of experience in a finance-related role (such as Investment Banking, Equity Research, Private Equity, or Corporate Finance). A Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/or Accounting is required, along with financial modeling and forecasting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
