Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Ascension Saint Agnes Pulmonary Care in Baltimore, MD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience in our medical setting.
  • Verify and enter demographic information, obtain and verify insurance authorizations/precertification, and complete medical record release requests.
  • Manage patient schedules, confirm appointments, and enter charges for patient procedures and services.
  • Collect co-payments, reconcile daily reports and deposits, and provide general office support to assigned areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in medical software and technology, including ATHENA, eCW, and MEDITECH.
  • Experience with insurance referrals and authorizations, as well as customer service background.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with pulmonary medications and terminology.
  • Experience working in a medical office setting, with a focus on patient service and administrative support.
