Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Mentorship Program Coordinator. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our mentorship programs, with a focus on recruiting and training volunteer mentors from college campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor Recruitment and Training: Develop and implement strategies to recruit and train volunteer mentors, ensuring they have a deep understanding of our Village Mentoring model and their role and responsibilities.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with our team to design and implement effective mentorship programs that meet the needs of our youth and families.
  • Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with local colleges and universities to promote our mentorship programs and recruit volunteer mentors.
  • Communication and Support: Provide regular communication and support to volunteer mentors, ensuring they have the resources and training necessary to have a high-quality and transformative mentoring experience.
  • Program Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our mentorship programs, making recommendations for improvement and growth.
Requirements
  • Commitment to Our Mission: A strong commitment to the mission of The Dream Program and a passion for supporting the development of our youth and families.
  • Experience Working with Youth: Experience working with youth and families, preferably in a mentorship or community outreach setting.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteer mentors, youth, and families.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Education and Certifications: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, social work, or youth development, and any relevant certifications or training.
