Rehabilitation Registered Nurse

As a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse at Alto Health Care Staffing, you will be integral to the recovery and overall health of patients participating in rehabilitation programs. Collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional care, support, and education to both patients and their families. Your primary role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within the rehabilitation environment, aiming for optimal patient outcomes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation: Perform thorough evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial requirements to create tailored care plans.
- Care Strategy Development: Partner with the healthcare team to design and execute comprehensive care strategies, establishing achievable goals for each patient.
- Direct Nursing Care: Deliver hands-on nursing care, which includes administering medications, managing wounds, and monitoring vital signs, while following established protocols and standards.
- Support for Rehabilitation: Aid patients in reaching their rehabilitation objectives by providing physical support, mobility training, and therapeutic interventions.
- Patient and Family Education: Inform patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices to ensure a seamless transition from hospital to home.
- Collaborative Care: Work in close coordination with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, along with other healthcare professionals, to enhance patient care.
- Patient Advocacy: Champion the rights and preferences of patients, ensuring they receive compassionate, ethical, and culturally sensitive care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise and comprehensive medical documentation, including patient evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Infection Control and Safety: Follow infection control protocols and safety measures to reduce the risk of infection or injury within the rehabilitation unit.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in rehabilitation nursing practices and contribute to the enhancement of nursing protocols and procedures.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be necessary for certain roles.
