Position Overview:
The Activity Director will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of programs that promote physical, social, and emotional well-being for residents in a skilled nursing and assisted living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute educational programs, exercise classes, social gatherings, spiritual activities, outings, and special events tailored to the interests of residents.
- Create individualized activity plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident.
Qualifications:
- Degree or relevant experience in a related field.
- A genuine passion for working with the elderly population.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively plan and manage activities for both small and large groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel to produce various activity-related documents such as flyers, reminders, calendars, and newsletters.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate with other departments as necessary.
- Creativity and enthusiasm to add a personal touch to all activities.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position, Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting wage of $23.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance for employees working 24+ hours per week, along with paid time off, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
