Job Overview

The Sourcing Lean, Process & Digital Operations team at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation is at the forefront of transforming Procurement practices. This team plays a pivotal role in enhancing organizational effectiveness to benefit employees, customers, and stakeholders. The structure focuses on three key areas to streamline operations:

1. LEAN ... Enhancing our Lean journey through the development of FLIGHT DECK capabilities, coaching, operational rhythms, and centralized Kaizen Roadmaps.
2. PROCESS ... Managing end-to-end sourcing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) in both commercial (Inquiry to Order) and delivery (Order to Remit) domains, connecting to broader Aerospace VSM and the envisioned future of a Connected Flow Supply Chain.
3. DIGITAL ... Developing capabilities to support process, data quality & governance, managing our suite of digital tools & systems, and leading a digital transformation initiative focused on Cloud technologies and AI.

This position is centered on process management within the Lean, Process & Digital team, contributing to the overarching process vision. The role involves collaboration with the Value Stream leader and peers in lean & digital to implement transformation strategies that create customer value and enhance business performance. Responsibilities include shared accountability for business outcomes through the execution of Kaizen Roadmap initiatives, identifying process improvement opportunities, acting as a process owner, and leading operational rhythms (daily management, operating reviews, etc.). Problem-solving, kaizen, and other FLIGHT DECK fundamentals are essential components of this role.

This position is eligible for a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities
  • FLIGHT DECK ... Provide coaching on problem-solving techniques, lead FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, and promote a lean culture. Ensure processes are formalized and documented through standard operating procedures, work instructions, and templates as necessary.
  • Value Stream Management ... Own processes related to current state VSM, conduct annual updates to future state VSM through support on VSA events, and connect with enterprise VSMs both upstream and downstream.
  • Kaizen Roadmap ... Responsible for executing events outlined in the roadmap, maintaining roadmap items, communicating with stakeholders, gaining support for events, prioritizing initiatives for maximum impact, and quantifying outcomes related to business performance.
  • Metrics ... Support metrics related to VSM, including developing new measures, enhancing existing metrics, and driving results/target setting for all TTIs and/or KPIs.
  • Daily Management & Operating Cadences ... Establish, scale, and mature the daily management and operating rhythms necessary for VSM success.
  • Process Management ... Own and/or support processes related to VSM, which may include developing new processes or supporting mature processes returned to the business.
  • Lead a functional and operations-focused team and/or projects with varying resource requirements, risk, and complexity. Present business solutions to leaders in the functional area. Guide the team in finding innovative solutions to complex organizational challenges. Evaluate the quality of information received and question conflicting data for thorough analysis.
  • Utilize expertise and judgment to resolve issues, leveraging analytical skills as necessary. Employ multiple internal and external resources beyond one's function to inform decision-making.
  • Communicate complex information and negotiate internally to influence others and gain buy-in across the organization. Influence peers for support and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing.
