The Sourcing Product Line and Cost Manager is responsible for steering and shaping strategic initiatives related to Product Line requirements, collaborating closely with the broader Sourcing team to ensure effective execution.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- Lead the formulation and implementation of Sourcing strategies that significantly impact Product Lines.
- Engage with Sourcing commodity partners to establish a robust restructuring pipeline.
- Work in tandem with customer-facing teams to provide insights on potential cost implications.
- Enhance deal structures to foster sustainable productivity and integrate long-term forecasts into Sourcing strategies.
- Oversee processes, analyze relevant data, and propose business strategies aimed at minimizing overall costs while aligning with customer requirements.
- Collaborate on the commercialization of technology roadmaps to support next-generation innovations.
- Establish and maintain operational rhythms to synchronize the efforts of Product Lines and the Sourcing organization, synthesizing requirements effectively.
- Conduct trade-off studies accompanied by impact analyses, leading both direct and indirect teams across functions.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in procurement, strategy, or customer-facing operations, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen and business insight.
- Experience in deal structuring and execution.
- Familiarity with customer and supplier interactions.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Expertise in value creation and negotiation tactics.
- Experience in horizontal collaboration and networking across matrixed organizations.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrates humility, transparency, and a focused approach to work.
- Exhibits leadership qualities, effective decision-making, and collaborative skills.
- Possesses critical thinking abilities and challenges existing processes.
