Position Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Overview:

A Procurement Specialist role is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct position offering comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to comprehend their budgetary constraints and requirements, providing expert advice and support to fulfill their needs.
  • Adhere to company and departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions to effectively source and procure, negotiate, manage supplier relationships, and ensure contract compliance.
  • Lead moderately complex RFI/RFQs and negotiation strategies aimed at achieving favorable market pricing and overall cost efficiency.
  • Execute the supplier selection and approval process while developing and maintaining critical supplier relationships.
  • Utilize a supplier evaluation process to oversee supplier performance.
  • Facilitate the purchase order and agreement execution with selected suppliers, ensuring all necessary approvals are secured prior to contract execution.
  • Manage the commercial aspects of contracts to guarantee timely delivery from suppliers.
  • Assist Accounts Payable in resolving invoice-related issues.
  • Complete receipt in ERP for approved invoices and maintain all necessary procurement records and documentation systems.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor towards stakeholders, suppliers, management, and colleagues.
  • Support Belcan's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives and expectations within the supply chain.
  • Assess business impacts and align with stakeholders to effectively evaluate risk levels, manage supply continuity, develop contingency plans, and establish risk management strategies.
  • Recommend continuous improvements to procurement and related processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards World, ServiceNow, or other ERP purchasing systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Windows, Office, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in IT software procurement.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and negotiation skills.
  • Basic data analysis capabilities.
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Solid understanding of procurement practices.
  • Ability to cultivate key working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Compensation:

Belcan offers a competitive salary range of $60,000-$70,000, taking into account various factors such as education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
