The HR Operations Specialist will facilitate processes (primarily digital) related to the employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, and general HR administration and support. This is an hourly, on-site role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in a team-oriented setting, delivering exceptional, friendly, and responsive service to employees and management.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of our workforce, operations, and organizational culture.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings in the ATS, preparing offer letters and pre-employment documentation, and conducting background checks.
  • Ensure adherence to FCC/EEO regulations throughout all recruitment and hiring activities.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, present relevant information and materials, and verify the completion of all onboarding/exiting tasks within the necessary systems.
  • Maintain proficiency in our cloud-based HRIS (Oracle) and offer guidance to managers and employees on various HRIS modules, including self-service, HCM, recruiting, onboarding, time and attendance, performance, and compensation.
  • Support the benefits administration process by maintaining knowledge of the company's benefit offerings, assisting in the Open Enrollment process, and conducting audits as necessary.
  • Address unemployment claims, workers' compensation claims, and employment verifications.
  • Prepare and oversee a centralized bi-weekly payroll process for both hourly and salaried staff.
  • Assist leadership with routine reporting tasks, such as overtime, contract dates, etc.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures effectively.
  • Maintain confidential electronic HR records for all employees.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating team training sessions, morale-boosting events, and activities.
  • Perform additional related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a minimum of one year of experience in at least two functional areas of HR (e.g., Recruiting/Onboarding and Offboarding).
  • Experience with payroll processes and reviews is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience working with an HRIS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and sound judgment under pressure and in sensitive situations.
  • A positive attitude and strong commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Independent judgment to plan, organize, and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
