Position Summary:

The primary objective of this role is to enhance the department's capacity to meet its goals and objectives. This entails performing non-destructive testing (NDT) in accordance with NADCAP and AS 9100 standards, ensuring safety and efficiency. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to this position and are not exhaustive:

  1. Conduct non-destructive testing procedures, including passivation, penetrant, and magnetic-particle inspections, promptly to meet both internal and external customer requirements.
  2. Possess the expertise to set up and standardize equipment, process components, interpret results for acceptance or rejection, and document findings accurately.
  3. When specified in written practices, develop work instructions based on approved general procedures, requiring final approval from a level 3 certified individual in the method.
  4. Ensure all materials comply with customer specifications through adherence to relevant quality policies, procedures, and instructions.
  5. Engage in data collection and communication tasks utilizing Job Boss and other relevant applications.
  6. Perform various clerical duties related to NDT.
  7. Provide necessary guidance and supervision to trainees and level 1 personnel.
  8. Adhere to all PAC policies.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Vision must meet NAS-410/ASNT SNT-TC-1A standards.
  2. Ability to stand for at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
  3. Successful completion of a medical examination and drug screening is required prior to employment.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in essential duties.
  3. Certification to Level 2 as per NAS 410 requirements for PT and MPI, including a Level 1 PT certification and an additional 16 hours of formal training in PT, along with 270 hours of on-the-job experience, or a trainee with at least 32 hours of formal training in PT and 400 hours of practical experience.
  4. Proficiency in using common measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  5. Ability to read blueprints to GD&T standards.
  6. Familiarity with aerospace quality procedures and AS9100 standards.
  7. Competence in MS Office applications.
  8. Proficient in reading and writing in English and performing basic mathematical functions.

Strong verbal communication skills are essential for maintaining customer relations.
