Role of Assembler 3
Engage in a range of advanced tasks and intricate assemblies utilizing an assortment of hand tools, power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and testing equipment to accurately assemble aircraft components made of sheet metal.
Key Responsibilities
Employ hand and power tools to scribe, grind, punch, deburr, fit, and drill various sheet metal detail parts, sub-assemblies, or complete units by adjusting alignment and mating components to standard and precise tolerances.
May carry out sizing, riveting, reaming, spot welding, seam welding, poke tacking, and preparation for brazing.Identify and provide solutions for operational discrepancies.
May develop and manage schedules for spot welding, seam welding, riveting, and fastener installation.
Execute more complex repairs.
Demonstrate the ability to work with details and assemblies that are at the extremes of conformance to deliver a quality product.
May perform TIG tacking for assembly purposes.Verify prescribed dimensions using jigs, fixtures, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
Adhere to and accurately interpret written instructions, drawings, planning documents, sketches, and best practice worksheets.
Conduct all tasks in accordance with established standards and safety protocols.
Ensure accurate documentation is entered into manufacturing planning systems (including correct quantities) and the paperless timecard system.
Mentor others in various areas and across a range of skills.
Enhance processes and tools.
Address most challenges and complex issues proactively, engaging Engineering and Supervision to resolve recurring and intricate problems.
Assist in the development of new job roles.
May supervise others.
Complete Exotic Metals OpCert training and maintain OpCert certification.
Possess experience across multiple cells and demonstrate the ability to transition between various work areas seamlessly, mastering all steps of the process.
Physical Demands
The assembler is required to perform physical activities that involve significant use of arms and legs, along with frequent movement of the entire body, including climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing, and handling materials.

Our second shift receives a shift differential of $2.00 per hour, while our weekend shifts receive a $6.00 shift differential for working 36 hours per week.
