Job Overview
The Italiano is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team as Executive Culinary Manager. This dynamic professional will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and execute menus, manage kitchen operations, and lead a team of culinary staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement menus that showcase The Italiano's commitment to quality and creativity.
- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
- Lead a team of culinary staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure exceptional service and high-quality dishes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among all staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and labor costs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement processes to improve kitchen efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and experimentation in menu development and culinary techniques.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, kitchen operations, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software, including MS Office, restaurant management systems, and POS technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Salary Range
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
