Position: Inventory Control Art Handler

UOVO is seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Art Handler to enhance our dynamic team. This role is crucial in overseeing the management of incoming and outgoing art pieces at our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expertly handle art objects, employing appropriate techniques and materials for safe packaging and transport.
  • Prepare and execute essential documentation, including bills of lading, labels, and detailed condition reports with photographs as necessary.
  • Manage the receipt and release of shipments within the warehouse.
  • Pack artworks for various transportation and storage needs, both locally and internationally.
  • Barcode and reconcile all incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
  • Adhere to UOVO's inventory control standards, ensuring accuracy and precision at all times.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary documentation, including Bills of Lading and Warehouse Receipts, meeting all deadlines.
  • Coordinate dock activities and labor allocation in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain UOVO's database with precise information regarding inventory dimensions and other relevant details.
  • Assist with inventory audits and other related projects as needed.
  • Support the Art Handler team in achieving the highest level of inventory accuracy.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Provide assistance to internal teams as necessary.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud-based inventory management software is advantageous.
  • Background in warehousing, art handling, or collections management is a plus.
  • Physical ability to handle weights up to 150 pounds with assistance and 50 pounds independently.
  • Ability to carry varying weights up to 40 pounds over distances.
  • Comfortable with physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

This position requires a physical presence at UOVO's facility, with a commitment to maintaining high standards in art handling and inventory management.
