As a key member of our logistics and installation team, you will be responsible for the proper handling, wrapping, de-installation, and installation of artworks, antiques, design furniture, and personal effects.
Key Responsibilities- Logistics and Installation: Oversee the handling, packing, and installation of artworks, antiques, and fine furniture for local and interstate transportation.
- Team Leadership: Lead on-site teams and crews, ensuring efficient and safe installation processes.
- Art Handling and Wrapping: Properly handle and wrap artworks, antiques, and fine furniture to prevent damage during transportation and installation.
- Condition Reporting: Conduct thorough condition checks and reports on artworks, antiques, and fine furniture, using conventional and electronic methods (e.g., Articheck).
- Quality Control: Ensure a high level of quality control on every job, adhering to industry standards and company protocols.
- Training and Development: Train junior art handlers and installers on best practices and company procedures.
- Paperwork and Administration: Manage and ensure accuracy of all paperwork, whether in-house or on-site.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Several years of experience in the art handling and transport industry, with a focus on packing and installation.
- Skills: Strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight, with appropriate assistance.
