Position: Inventory Control Art Handler

UOVO is recognized as the premier provider of storage and logistics for art, archives, and collectibles, operating advanced facilities nationwide. We are seeking an Inventory Control Art Handler to become an integral part of our dynamic team. This role is essential in overseeing all incoming and outgoing items from our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely handle art objects using appropriate packaging and securing methods for transport.
  • Prepare and execute necessary documentation, including bills of lading, labels, and detailed condition reports.
  • Manage the receipt and release of shipments within warehouse facilities.
  • Pack artworks for transportation and storage, both locally and internationally.
  • Barcode and reconcile all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain UOVO's inventory control standards, ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Prepare and distribute Bills of Lading, Warehouse Receipts, and barcodes in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate dock activities and labor allocation with the Operations Manager.
  • Update the inventory database with accurate information regarding dimensions, pack types, and locations.
  • Assist with inventory audits and other related projects.
  • Support the Art Handler team to ensure high accuracy in inventory control.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
  • Provide assistance to internal teams as required.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based inventory management software.
  • Experience in warehousing, art handling, or collections management is advantageous.
  • Physical capability to manage weights up to 150 pounds with assistance and 50 pounds independently.
  • Ability to carry varying weights up to 40 pounds over distances.
  • Comfortable with various physical activities, including standing, walking, and bending.
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

This position requires on-site presence at UOVO's facility, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of inventory control and art handling.
