Assistant Project Manager

Hourigan is a leading construction management and development firm that delivers high-quality projects through collaboration, trust, and respect. We're seeking a skilled and driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager.

This role involves working closely with the Project Manager to manage projects throughout their lifecycle. The Assistant Project Manager will typically oversee multiple projects simultaneously, often in different phases of completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare project contract documents and manage project schedules with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
  • Manage project budgets and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract-specific terms and conditions for estimating.
  • Work alongside Preconstruction to facilitate buyout and manage master submittal schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve project-specific issues.
  • Assist the Project Administrator in processing construction documentation.
  • Manage Owner Change Order Requests from RFP to submission of change order.
  • Prepare and distribute subcontractor change orders and associated budget revisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Applications for Payment.
  • Collaborate with the Project Administrator and Project Manager in completing close-out activities.
  • Attend and participate in trade pre-construction meetings to review project requirements.
  • Take minutes of Owner and Subcontractor meetings.
  • Independently manage small construction projects of limited scope and complexity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2-5 years of progressive construction-related experience.
  • Strong desire to learn, willingness to take on new challenges, and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Organized individual with excellent prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables with changing deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with scheduling software, Textura, CMiC, and Bluebeam preferred.
