Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Hourigan. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in the management of multiple projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of project contract documents and manage project schedules with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
  • Manage project budgets and maintain accurate records of project expenses.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract-specific terms and conditions for estimating and incorporate into the master subcontract.
  • Work alongside Preconstruction to manage buyout and assist in the management of a master submittal schedule and submittal log.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve project-specific issues and assist the Project Administrator in processing construction documentation.
  • Manage Owner Change Order Requests from RFP to submission of change order and prepare and distribute subcontractor change orders and associated budget revisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Applications for Payment and collaborate with the Project Administrator and Project Manager in the completion of close-out activities.
  • Attend and participate in trade pre-construction meetings with the project team to review all requirements and take minutes of Owner and Subcontractor meetings.
  • May independently manage small construction projects of limited scope and complexity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2-5 years of progressive construction-related experience.
  • Strong desire to learn, welcomes new challenges, and values collaboration with all team members.
  • Organized individual with a keen ability to prioritize multiple deliverables with changing deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with scheduling software, Textura, CMiC, and Bluebeam preferred.
