ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an Assistant Culinary Leader, you will collaborate with our Restaurant Leaders to promote culinary and hospitality excellence in our scratch-based kitchen. With a genuine passion for preparing delicious meals, you will strive to master every DIG station by consistently executing recipes, processes, and procedures while actively training to enhance the knowledge of the entire restaurant team. You will take initiative as a leader and role model in the kitchen by participating in pre-shift meetings, managing shifts, and training, ensuring that tasks across the restaurant are completed on time and to standard.

- Exhibit correct culinary standards, warm hospitality, and a positive attitude.
- Train fellow team members on each station, seasonal recipes, kitchen standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with your Chef De Cuisine to manage prep lists, waste logs, and food inventory.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to the team and adhere to scheduled deployment and breaks.
- Effectively open and close the restaurant using checklists and thorough communication.
- Lead pre-shift meetings and contribute to the Chef's table agenda.
- Ensure food presentation and order accuracy for all walk-in, pick-up, and delivery orders.
- Address guest concerns, digital ordering, and equipment maintenance effectively.
- Help maintain the highest food safety standards by following Department of Health and DIG protocols.
- 1+ year of leadership experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Food Safety Certification.
- A commitment to creating exceptional employee and guest experiences.
- An eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to assist wherever necessary.
- A desire for growth within our restaurants.
- The capability to meet the physical demands of the position (frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds). These physical requirements may be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
