Propulsion Engineer

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Propulsion Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing combustion devices for our rocket engines and spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop combustion devices, including injectors, chambers, nozzles, thrusters, igniters, and related components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and repeatable space flight
  • Perform test data reviews and process non-conforming hardware
  • Write technical reports and contribute to the development of combustion devices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or physics)
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field
  • 1+ years of CAD experience
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with data analysis and data processing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering or higher
  • Strong technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluids, thermodynamics, and combustion analysis
  • Knowledge of entire combustion devices life cycle from design, development, qualification, acceptance, and production
